However, Chef Qi died years ago. * Sun Youfu, Qi's first apprentice, had taken over the management of the restaurant. A bit greedy and mean, he runs the restaurant to survive among those Japanese invaders in Anqiu, which is advised by Shuigen. * Yang Baolu, Qi's second apprentice, inherited the cook skill from Chef Qi and works as the new chef in Dingxianglou. Though a bit simple-minded, he grudges those Japanese invaders and admires the ERA. * Cai Shuigen, said to be Qi's nephew, came to Anqiu from south. For Mrs Qi's purpose, he works as the chief waiter in the restaurant. However, he's the secret agent of the ERA. * Zhang Quanfu, the waiter in Dingxianglou, also used to take care of Mrs Qi as servant. * Wang Shuhuai, aka the 'Little Pebble', 14 yrs old, lived on selling cigarettes. Sometimes, he bothers the restaurant for business or food. So he's familiar with everyone in the restaurant. But actually, he's also a secret agent of ERA and contacts with Shuigen to help the ERA fight against the invaders.
