The Trojan horse was a contraption in the shape of a huge wooden horse that is mentioned in the history of the Trojan War and that according to this account was used by the Achaeans as a strategy to get into the fortified city of Troy. Taken by the Trojans as a sign of their victory, the horse was carried inside the gigantic walls, unaware that several enemy soldiers were hidden inside.
