The junk journal is a chaotic mix of mismatched pages, each made from various materials—old book pages, crinkled envelopes, colorful scrapbooking paper, and delicate vellum. The pages vary in size creating a slapdash, unrefined feel. Patterns and textures—faded florals, scribbled notes, vintage ads—layer together, adding visual clutter and a tactile richness that feels personal and full of history.
there’s a whimsical sketch of a train travelling through mountains. the page has a few handwritten notes. "train to luxembourg", "6 a.m.", a drawing of her sleeping ect., along with a train ticket and some other items she collected on the train. features a collage of polaroids which feature a woman, who has ginger hair, big round blue eyes, a full fringe, and freckles at various tourist sites or more casually her hotel or a cafe. the woman would be dressed in a bohemian-grunge/mori-girl style (lots of lace and textures) the polaroids have been labelled with cute phrases, or the place, or her coffee order, ect.
Loose scraps are tucked into the journal, like letters from home or photographs of family and friends, playbills, art gallery tickets, general travel 'junk'.
